In accordance with the The Competitive Hiring Process Code of Charles University, the Dean of the Faculty of Science of Charles University announces a competitive hiring process with a deadline for applications July 20, 2026

Qualifications

Candidate Profile: The successful candidate should hold a Ph.D. degree in the biological sciences and have several years of experience in advanced light microscopy, image and data analysis, and university-level teaching. Excellent command of Czech and English is required. The candidate must demonstrate a proven track record in acquiring and managing national and international research grants, coordinating international collaborations, and organizing scientific workshops and symposia. Familiarity with the international microscopy community and current developments in the field is expected. The successful applicant should exhibit a high degree of independence, initiative, and motivation for continuous professional development and for the strategic development of the microscopy core facility.
