IRCSET Postdoctoral Fellowships in Science, Engineering and Technology

The Irish Research Council for Science, Engineering and Technology, invites applications for research funding under its Postdoctoral Fellowship Schemes (2009/2010)

The Council will offer two fellowship choices in the 2009/2010 Call for Postdoctoral Fellowships: INSPIRE and EMPOWER.

INSPIRE

• IRCSET-Marie Curie International Mobility Fellowships in Science, Engineering and Technology.
• Fellowships of up to 2.5 years duration; the first 1.5 years at a Host Institution abroad, the final year at an Irish Host Institution.
• Open to applicants currently working at an Irish research laboratory

EMPOWER

• Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Fellowships in Science, Engineering and Technology.
• Fellowships of 2 year duration, based at an Irish Host Institution.
• Including the Enterprise Partnership Scheme where the Council co-funds researchers with a range of industrial research partners.
• Open to applicants worldwide

Applications must be received strictly only via the IRCSET online applications system, before 5pm GMT on Thursday 12th November 2009. The application system will be available from Friday 2nd October 2009. Applications will be subject to evaluation, strictly on merit, by an international assessment committee.
